"I capture the body submerged underwater, its form altered by sunlight and the shifting waves. Through this, I explore the interplay between abstraction and realism, to fragment the body and present it as incomplete and imperfect."

EARLY JOURNEY

Hind’s artistic journey began in childhood, when she discovered her passion for portraiture and painting, quickly becoming fascinated with the human form—a theme that remains central to her work. Her early pieces explored expression, gesture, and the play of light and shadow, laying the foundation for the techniques she would later refine.

EDUCATION

Hind pursued architecture at Oxford Brookes University, where she earned undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. This architectural background influenced her art, adding precision and a complex relationship between the human figure and its environment. Her work often blurs the lines between physical and abstract space.

ARTISTIC VISION

At the heart of Hind’s art is the exploration of the human body and its transformation in different environments. She deconstructs and reimagines the body in states of flux—whether through water, light, or other environmental forces—examining themes of identity, vulnerability, and time.

Hind’s work is immersive, aiming to provoke a visceral emotional response rather than mere observation. Through oil painting, photography, and sculpture, she challenges perceptions of the human form, encouraging reflection on its imperfection and inviting dialogue on the complexities of the human condition.

A recurring motif in her work is the tension between abstraction and realism. In her photographic series, Hind captures the human body submerged underwater, distorted by light and movement. These surreal images highlight the contrast between the realistic human form and the abstract, ephemeral qualities of water and light. Hind further fragments the body, challenging traditional notions of beauty and wholeness. Her work invites viewers to see the body as a dynamic, evolving entity, reflecting the complexities and contradictions of human existence.

Central to Hind’s vision are dualities—abstraction versus realism, fragmentation versus completeness, beauty versus imperfection. Her work encourages exploration of identity, transformation, and the relationship between the individual and their environment, offering a layered, emotional perspective on what it means to be human.
